Decorating for Christmas in a Neutral Home
Can you all believe there is only 2 days until Christmas?!
If you're like me, you have finally (BARELY) gotten everything wrapped and ready for Christmas. There is always so much stress going into the holidays, so this year I tried to get things done early.....
.... but it never fails-- its Christmas Eve Eve and I'm still putting the finishing touches on everything.
Decorating for the holidays is one of my favorite things to do, and this year we went all out. Poor John was out on a ladder with my Dad (the actual Clark Griswold) hanging hundreds of lights on our big trees out front. Everything turned out so pretty and there were no casualties.... I'm gonna call it a win for the Nords.
This year we installed new gas logs in our fireplace, so you better believe I'm gonna have those things lit all day, every day. John purposely didn't show me how to light them (he pays the bills), but I think I can figure it out without his help!
Here is a quick little tour of our house... almost everything is from Hobby Lobby, Michael's, or are hand-me-downs from my Mom. There's just something so magical and cozy about a house full of white lights and a gold Christmas tree. I actually go into a small depression when we have to take it all down... so don't be surprised if it's mid January and I'm still rockin' my Christmas decorations... sorry John.
I hope our little home inspires you. Thanks for reading & merry Christmas!!!
